We are a California statewide coalition organizing to engage Meta, and the larger online community, in promoting age-appropriate, transparent, and youth-led messages. Substances are being advertised and glamorized through ads, social media influencers, and people we follow and know personally. HOPE builds media literacy amongst youth to assess how harmful messages impact youth’s mental health and advance policies to enforce stronger protections on online platforms.
